Highlights of Your Visit
The Royal Route
This is the main exhibition path through the Castle. You will walk through the magnificent Great Assembly Hall, the Throne Room, the King's private apartments, and the stunning Canaletto Room, which features panoramic paintings of 18th-century Warsaw by Bernardo Bellotto.
The Lanckoroński Collection
A highlight for art lovers, this collection features two original paintings by Rembrandt: "The Girl in a Picture Frame" and "The Scholar at the Lectern". These masterpieces were gifted to the Castle and are a must-see part of the tour.
The Tin-Roofed Palace
An adjoining wing of the Castle complex, this palace houses a collection of exquisite oriental carpets and the former apartment of Prince Józef Poniatowski. It requires a separate or combined ticket but offers a deeper look into the aristocratic life of the era.
Getting to the Castle
The Royal Castle is located at Plac Zamkowy 4, 00-277 Warszawa, at the entrance to the Old Town. It is easily accessible via public transport.
- By Bus: Lines 116, 178, 180, 503, 518 stop at "Plac Zamkowy".
- By Tram: Lines 4, 13, 20, 23, 26 stop at "Stare Miasto", a short walk away.
- By Metro: The nearest station is M1 Ratusz Arsenał, from which it is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk through the charming streets leading to the Old Town.
Upon arrival, the ticket office and entrance are clearly marked. Remember to leave any large bags or backpacks at the cloakroom before starting your tour.
